Freight Policy:
Most of the Vinyl Fence orders ship directly from the factory in Maryland via common carriers. The freight costs vary by order and destination, however some orders do ship freight paid. To determine the shipping cost for your order, either continue through the Estimator and "get quote" with estimated shipping, or proceed to the catalog, to load your fence into a shopping cart and check out to get a real shipping cost.

NOTE: The trucking company will notify you prior to delivery to make arrangements. Truck drivers are subject to a number of regulations, one of which is that they are not required to give any assistance in unloading. Please be prepared for this "curbside" delivery, as you are responsible for unloading the item(s) and placing them on your property. This normally takes a number of "friends".

Will vinyl burn?
PVC has a flash point of 900° Fahrenheit and does not readily ignite. Vinyl, therefore, is classified as "self-extinguishing".
How long will a Vinyl fence last?
Our components are engineered to make fences that will last a lifetime. All of our extruded components carry a fully transferable, non-prorated lifetime warranty. For warranty details, see the warranty section of this site.
How does vinyl versus wood compare on cost?
Although the initial cost of vinyl is slightly higher than wood, vinyl's long-term, maintenance-free durability more than makes up for that cost difference, and actually saves you money over time.
Can vinyl fencing break?
Our Vinyl components use a high content of impact inhibitors which prevent breaking of properly installed fencing under normal use and conditions. Of course, dramatic and direct impact such as being struck by a car can cause damage, so it's good to know that components are easy to replace.
Will fencing become brittle in cold weather?
While plastic materials do become less flexible when it's cold, our components are designed to accommodate normal temperature swings. The impact inhibitors we use to prevent breaking also help our components withstand cold weather conditions.
Will fencing expand?
Vinyl fencing will contract and expand according to the temperature. This is normal and expected, and is factored in when fencing is fabricated.
Our vinyl components are engineered to withstand chipping, peeling, and decay for their full service life.
What about mold and mildew?
Persistent damp weather can lead to mold and mildew on vinyl fencing. They can be easily removed with ordinary detergent and water.
What kind of maintenance does vinyl fence require?
A mild detergent and water are all you should need to keep your fence looking new. For tough stains, use a non-abrasive cleaner. For best appearance, we recommend you wash your fence once a year.
Should posts be cemented in?
For maximum stability, we recommend that posts be cemented in. Please note that while cement can reduce the life expectancy of wood, it has no negative effect on vinyl, which makes cementing vinyl posts in a more viable option than for wood posts.
How big should postholes be if you use cement?
First, measure the diameter of your post. Next, dig your hole to twice that width. Finally, fill your hole with cement to within two inches of the top of the hole.
How long does it take from the time the order is placed to receive the material?
Most styles typically take between 2 and 3 weeks to receive. Non-stock, or special orders can take up to 4 weeks in production and then 3-5 days in transit, depending on your location. You will be emailed an estimated shipment date once your order enters production.
