Freight Policy:
Most of the Chain Link Fence orders ship directly from the factory in Maryland via common carriers. The freight costs vary by order and destination, however some orders do ship freight paid. To determine the shipping cost for your order, either continue through the Planner and "get quote" with estimated shipping, or proceed to the catalog, to load your fence into a shopping cart and check out to get a real shipping cost.
Chain Link Fence ships wrapped and palletized to minimize the potential of the product getting damaged in shipping.
NOTE: The trucking company will notify you prior to delivery to make arrangements. Truck drivers are subject to a number of regulations, one of which is that they are not required to give any assistance in unloading. Please be prepared for this "curbside" delivery, as you are responsible for unloading the item(s) and placing them on your property. This normally takes a number of "friends".
Frequently Asked Questions
What are the advantages of chain-link?
There are numerous advantages to choosing a chain-link fence. Here are just a few examples:
- Protects and beautifies property
- Economical
- Long-lasting
- Maintenance-free
- Graffiti resistant
- Provides security without obstructing views
- Provides privacy
- Blends well with landscaping
- Pet control
- Recycled/recyclable
Aren’t all chain-link fences the same?
No. Chain-link is a component fence system, consisting primarily of three basic elements: fabric, framework and fittings. The critical issue is how these components are combined. Chain-link is available in a wide range of weights (or gauges) and coatings. The most common coating is zinc (galvanized) but chain-link is also available in other coatings such as aluminum or vinyl and polyester color coatings that enhance landscaping, blending naturally with trees, shrubs, and bushes.
Can I install this fence myself?
We can provide you with step-by-step installation booklets, or send an installation crew to your site. Click here to download the installation instructions.
Do posts need to be buried in the ground or can they be mounted on concrete and other surfaces?
Yes there are flanges available that can be attached or molded to posts and then bolted to a particular surface.
How long does it take from the time the order is placed to receive the material?
Most styles typically take between 1 and 2 weeks to receive. Non-stock, or special orders can take up to 4 weeks in production and then 3-5 days in transit, depending on your location. You will be emailed an estimated shipment date once your order enters production.
